Remote Village Walk at Al Jabel Al Akhdar

Arrival & Safety Briefing: Meet your guide at a pre-agreed trailhead or a convenient meeting point in Jabal Al Akhdar. Guests not staying at Alila Hotel can be picked up from their accommodation if arranged or meet directly at the trailhead. Receive a briefing on safety, trail conditions, and necessary equipment before starting the trek.

Sarab Abandoned Village: Begin the walk through Sarab, an abandoned village where locals historically built clay houses under rocks. Learn about how water was collected in pools and how people adapted to the mountain environment.

Trail to Adjacent Village: Continue along a well-maintained donkey trail to another village on the opposite side of the canyon. Take in the natural scenery and observe traditional mountain pathways.

Juniper Forest & Hill Climb: Trek upwards through old juniper trees, enjoying their aromatic scent. Climb to a hilltop for panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the new villages where locals have moved.

Return to Meeting Point: Descend and retrace steps back to the starting point, enjoying the views and sunlight along the way, completing the immersive cultural and natural experience.
