Canyoning Snake Gorge

Arrival & Safety Briefing: The tour typically begins with a drive in a 4×4 vehicle through the scenic Wadi Bani Awf region to the canyon entrance. Upon arrival, you will meet your certified adventure guide for a short safety briefing and equipment check, including helmets, life jackets, and abseiling gear.

Canyon Entry & Jumps: Enter the gorge by jumping into the first of many cool, deep pools (typically a 5–6-meter jump), an early “point of no return” that commits you to the full canyoning route.

Swimming & Narrow Passages: Spend the next few hours navigating the canyon’s twists and turns, which vary from 2 to 30 feet wide. This involves long swims through deep, clear water, bouldering, and scrambling over rocks.

Abseiling Sections: Encounter thrilling technical sections that require abseiling down rock faces, including drops of around 8 meters and 30 meters, guided by professionals.

Natural Slides & Cave Exploration: Utilize natural rockslides formed by the rushing water and swim through a dark cave section towards the end of the trip, which is considered a highlight.

Conclusion of Tour & Lunch: Emerge from the canyon at the Al Zamah village exit point. Conclude your adventure with a delicious traditional Omani lunch of rice and meat prepared by locals in a shaded mountain area before the drive back.
